The semi final was played away to Huddersfield on a blistering hot day.

Triples

The format was a team of 3 women and a team of 3 men

Lucy and Shirley were joined by Cheryl and took an early lead. Huddersfield then got an end of 4 to control the game.

Huddersfield eventually won 7-13

Steve, Mark and Jim got off to a steady start with both teams only scoring 1 or 2 at each end
With Huddersfield leading 9-11 some great plays by Steve and Jim resulted in a 4 meaning Mirfield winning 13-11. The game lasting 90 minutes

Going into the break all square

Doubles

Shirley and Mark had a poor game losing 7-13

Jim and Cheryl were in a very tight game with both teams taking the lead several times.
But with some exquisite pointing from Cheryl and magnificent shooting from Jim took the game 13-8

So the match was tied 2 games all

Lucy and Steve raced to a commanding 11-3 lead, but Huddersfield got an end of 4 and an end of 2 pulled the game back to 11-9

Lucy played a stunning shot to put Mirfield on for 1 but Huddersfield had a boule very close

Huddersfield had played all of their boules and Steve had 2 boules left, most people would have taken the 1 point, but Steve threw the boule of the season to win the game 13-9

So Mirfield won the match 3-2

Well played everyone, it was a fantastic match played on a friendly spirit.

Special mention to Cheryl for playing so well on her 1st game for the team

So we now play Leeds in the final with the date and venue to be confirmed.
