Mirfield v Harrogate

Mirfield hosted its 1st home game on Monday against Harrogate.
The previous week Harrogate had beaten league favourites Leeds,
Harrogate lost the 2 triples badly but winning the 3 doubles to take the match 3-2
So we knew we were in for a tough game

The triple of Shirley,David and Mark struggled to find any form and were defeated 7-13
The other triple of Diane, Harry and Jim also struggled losing 6-13
During the break Harry gave a rousing speech that all was not lost, using Harrogate v Leeds as an example.
Shirley and Mark found some form and played really well to take a 13-2 victory
Jim and David also found form to win 13-4
So it all went down to Diane and Harry to win and therefore win the match.
After an up and down game,they won 13-8

So, Mirfield won the match 3-2 well played everyone.

Mirfield did a Harrogate on Harrogate!!
