Social Melee

Boule
After playing a couple of games, nearly 50 members congregated in the club house for afternoon tea. (see pictures)

A delicious plate of savouries was served first, followed by scones with jam and cream and copious amounts of tea and coffee. Finally, we were treated to a selection of home-made cakes produced by our members. What a treat!

Thank you to Ruth, Gillian Sue S and Jackie for all their hard work making sandwiches and getting the feast ready. Thanks also to the members who made the delicious cakes and pastries and to the volunteers who cleared up in the kitchen.

A great afternoon, enjoyed by all. Looking forward to doing it all again in 2027! Meanwhile, how do we top this extravaganza, summer fish and chips alfresco, an autumn social evening?

Anyone with an idea for a good do, please have a word with Ruth or Jackie and we’ll see what we can do.
