Social Event

On Thursday 9th October at 7pm, MPC will hold a social evening at the Clubhouse in the Memorial Park.

More than 30 members of MPC gathered in the club house on Thursday 9th October 2025 for a Pie and Ale tasting evening.

Organised by Cheryl and Rod Green, we tasted 6 savoury pies each accompanied by a complementing beverage, beer, lager and cider.

After pie 3 and pie 6, Club Bookie and his runner, Gordon and Gillian Young, staged a horse race (see picture) which both entertained members and gave them chance to digest the delicious pies.
We ended the evening with a desert course, pies of course, provided by Carol S, Ruth, Christine C and Jackie.

We all had a great evening. Special thanks to Cheryl and Rod, the ladies in the kitchen, Cheryl, Ruth, Jackie and Gillian and Gordon and Gillian for the horse race game.

Also, during the evening, we presented a card and sang Happy Birthday to our latest octogenarian, Ron Powell
