Mirfield v Harrogate

On the hottest day of the year Mirfield PC produced a red hot performance against Harrogate.

Following last weeks disappointing result of 1 - 4 against Huddersfield, the team scored a 5 - 0 victory over Harrogate.

The triples games were comfortably won. Harry, Diane and Ian winning their game 13 -3 and Shirley, Kevin and Mark triumphant with a score of 13 -1.

In the pairs games the success continued with Mark and Ian winning their game 13 - 5. This was followed by Harry and Diane winning 13 -6. Shirley and Kevin completed the victory with a 13 -7 win.

This is the first occasion we have had a 5 - 0 victory. It sets up the game against Leeds next week. If Mirfield can win the final fixture of the season by a 4 - 1 victory or better they will finish top of the league and just pip Leeds.
