Mirfield v Huddersfield

Huddersfield were the visitors when Mirfield maintained their winning start to the season. The match, like the previous two, ending in a three games to two victory.

Today’s match was a close fought contest.

The triples games ended with a win for Shirley, Kevin and Jim and defeat for Carol Sykes, Steve and Lucy. Both games finishing 13 - 8. The first two pairs games also had each team having a win and a loss with the same 13 - 4 scoreline. Shirley and Kevin won their games but Carol and Jim losing theirs. With the match having a score of two wins to each team and equal points scored all eyes were on Steve and Lucy in the final game. Their final score of 13 -12 to the Mirfield pair showing the closeness of the contest.
