Mirfield v Wetherby

In the first match of this season’s competition Mirfield played against last season’s winners Wetherby.

The two triples games ended with each team winning one game. Harry, Diane and Mark produced an excellent performance to win by 13 points to 9 points. Kevin, Shirley and Jim lost their game by 13 points to 11.

In the three pairs games Mirfield came out on top in two of them. Harry and Diane winning by 13 points to 8 and Jim and Mark had a narrow victory by 13 points to 12. Kevin and Shirley lost their game 13 points to 9.

Both teams may have felt they should have more wins but Mirfield edge the contest by 3 games to 2.
Diane produced an excellent performance on her debut for the team showing some excellent pointing in both her games.
